Important notes to remember upon purchaseIf you have any questions that are unanswered below we suggest that you submit an email to your sales person directly.This is your first step for your purchase progress and we strongly advise that you read this email for 90% of answers to your questions! 1. Please follow your salesperson’s instruction for deposit and TT confirmation.
2. Please allow 2 ~ 14 days for vehicle purchase.
3. Remember at all times the time difference especially when calling our office. ( We are open 8am ~ 6pm Monday~ Friday )
4. Refer to our terms and conditions on the website for reference.
5. Deposits will not be refunded if a vehicle has been purchased for you.
6. You will receive an email notification about cars coming up through auction that are possible candidates, please search the auction your self as well using www.usedcars.co.jp.
7. Cars will only be purchased with your 110% approval. We do not buy without your approval.
8. It is important to note that some cars are going to auction as you sleep and contact will be impossible. We must have a minimum of 24 hours prior to contact you.
9. It takes around 10 seconds for a car to be auctioned so calling you on the spot is impossible.
10. We will always ask for your maximum budget for bidding! Why? If we only have a minimum budget the chance of us winning a car will be minimal and nicking a
car is not always advisable as it can take a long time searching for the elusive bargain. If we have your maximum budget and the car comes in under that YOU PAY THE LESSER FEE!
Example* Budget $10,000 Car purchased at auction for $9,230. You pay $9,230 for the car + FOB service charge.
11. Remember to allow for 80,000 ~ 90,000JPY which is our buying fee. This covers a multitude of costs involved with the purchase of your car, unless it is purchased from
Stock. ( Please refer to this link for the fees http://www.autotraderimports.com/1265.html )
12. Upon purchase payment must be made upon invoice. Payment will not wait for any reason. Please be advised!
13. If you choose a car outside of Tokyo please ask your sales person for an estimate on additional transportation.
14. Cars can take anywhere from 3 ~ 9 days to arrive at the port depending on where they were purchased.
15. Additional work can be done to your car upon special request. ( note that work in Japan is expensive )
16. At the port we will take an additional 15 ~ 30 photos for your reference until your cars arrival.
17. VERY IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER. We cant see everything and the auctions are not always accurate. Please allow for additional expenditure on your car upon arrival
to your country. Average is $500 ~ $1,000 on basic safety and maintenance requirements. (refer our terms and conditions)
18. Occasionally and very rare now some items are taken from cars or damage occurs during shipping. (Your additional photos are your only backup, we cant help once
the car leaves Japan)
19. We do not test drive cars, put cars on hoists, take videos, do written inspections, alter speedos, at any time. Please do not ask.
20. Please email your representative for the shipping information about your car.
This needs to be done only once we have confirmed your full payment. No car will not be booked without full payment period.
21. While the ship is in transit it is advised that you organise a customs agent. The agent should help you with 95% of your vehicles arrival into your country.
22. You will receive your paperwork approximately 5 days prior to the ships arrival. This will include your Bill of Lading x2, Export Certificate x1 & English translation x1
Documents will be sent via DHL or EMS.
23. Depending on shipping times the first 20 days of storage is free at the port. If the car sits for longer than that additional charges will be incurred at 500JPY per day after
the 20 day deadline. We have no control over shipping nor do we allow for this additional storage in our fee. It is rare but it may happen and we will do our utmost
to get your vehicle moving ASAP
24. Once at the port the booking of a ship can take from 10 ~ 14 days, please keep this in mind. If your country requires inspections it will take longer. ( We cant control inspection times )
25. Very important note is to treat your new car with a little respect and remember that it may have been sitting for some time, so treat it well for the first few days
then let it rip!
