Documents Required From Auto Trader Imports

The following documents will be sent at the same time by DHL DONT NOT MISPLACE THESE  DOCUMENTS

A. You will receive an invoice from us. This invoice may be requested by customs.

B. 2 copies of the BOL (bill of lading)

C. 1 copy of the vehicle export certificate


Age restriction

No age restriction, but tax will decrease for cars older than 1987

Compliance Inspection In Japan

No inspection required. However, you will be required to have a Tuf inspection

Shipping Destination ports

Bremerhaven, Amsterdam

Other requirements ( May vary from car to car )
  • proof of official address registration in Germany
  • Your identification.
  • customs clearance papers
  • export certificate
  • proof of ownership.
  • original vehicle registration papers.
  • certification from the German Federal Motor Vehicle Registry indicating the vehicle has not been registered in Germany before.
  • proof of insurance.
  • proof the vehicle has successfully completed the safety and roadworthiness inspection.
Import taxes rates

A car or other motor vehicle imported to Germany from outside the EU are normally subject to a 10% import duty and a 19% import value-added tax
